Baked Ham and Smoked Gouda Sliders
Try these Baked Ham and Smoked Gouda Sliders for an easy, melty, delicious dish featuring your ham, smoked gouda, and a buttery Dijon sauce!
Ingredients
- 12 small dinner rolls (or Hawaiian rolls)
- 1 cup apricot preserves (or your favorite fruit jam)
- 6oz sliced ham - sliced thinly (great for those Easter leftovers, or use 12 slices of thinly sliced deli ham)
- 12 ounces Smoked Gouda cheese, shredded (3 cups)
- 4 tablespoons butter, cubed
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 0.75 ounce Parmesan cheese, finely shredded (1/4 cup)
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 350°F. |
2. Slice rolls in half horizontally; remove tops. Place roll bottoms in a 13 x 9 inch baking pan; spread with preserves. Layer each with ham and gouda. Replace roll tops. |
3. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl; stir in the minced onion, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Brush mixture over roll tops. Sprinkle with parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired. |
4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until cheeses are melted. |
Tips
- Make ahead! The sliders can be prepared a day in advance. Build sliders following step two, cover, and refrigerate overnight. Remove from the fridge 40 minutes before baking, and follow recipe as directed, starting with melting butter.
- Try with your favorite cheese! We love these with an aged cheddar, Colby, or brick cheese!
